acsmall.gif (6922 bytes)1997 PGA Championship winner Davis Love III recently unveiled Anderson Creek Golf Club, his first signature course in North Carolina, and winner of the “Best New Course in NC” award for 2001.  This traditional layout reflects all that is great about golf in the Carolina Sandhills – rolling emerald fairways lined with longleaf pines, natural areas highlighted with love grass and perfectly manicured course conditions.  The greens’ large roll-off areas and significant undulations offer a glimpse into the classic Donald Ross architecture seen throughout the Sandhills of North Carolina.  Davis Love remarked, “Anderson Creek is one of the finest courses I’ve played, and is more than ready to host a major golfing event.”   The club’s proximity to Interstate 95 as well as to the historic village of Pinehurst, make Anderson Creek a must play for golfers traveling to the area.

Cypress Lakes Golf Course

Hope Mills, NC

Tucked away on 700 acres of unspoiled natural beauty, Cypress lakes is one of the finest residential golf communities in North Carolina. In 1961, Dr. W.T. Rainey, co-founder of Highsmith-Rainey Hospital, enjoyed these exquisite surroundings as his personal retreat away from the pressures of hospital life. Here, he nurtured a thriving turkey farm and cultivated azaleas and camellias. Dedicated to continuing this quality life revered by Dr. Rainey, longtime residents and business leaders L.B. Floyd and A.N. Prewitt preserved the tradition.

Over the years, their efforts have transformed Cypress Lakes' lavish panorama of trees, lakes, and streams into a spectacular 18 hole, par 72 championship golf facility with 7,240 yards of Bermuda fairways and bent grass greens. The course presents variety and challenge off every tee. Cypress Lakes offers a superb practice area, practice bunkers, and putting greens to provide a perfect opportunity for golfers of all handicaps to improve their game.
